  • Outreach & Retention
  • Went over major events happening from now till the end of the year, handed out flyers with all the events to the committee members to pass out to downtown business owners to build awareness of possible street closures, heavy traffic flow, increase or decrease of sales, etc.
  • November 1 Rock the Block – Block Party (6th from 57th -58th St) let business know of the Street being closed that day. Event is 11am-8pm, raising money for American Legion.
  • SJ Crystals blow out sale, and still pending moving in date for Southport Tea.
  • New Pizza place – NYC Slice Shop at 513 57th
  • Stiches Tailor Shop & Her Clothing – grand opening on November 29th
  • Faded Barbershop for Men (in the marketing district) – grand opening on October 25thduring the Trick or Treat event
  • Olafson & Porter Vintage Goods have expanded into the staffing agency spot that was next to/connected to their building.
  • Ktown Connects Podcast Studio is moving December 1stcurrently at 5000 7th Ave Lower level, Suite 102, will be moving to 600 52nd Street Suite 200
  • Serendipity on 7thchanged to Pretty Weird, Gabe who ran Serendipity is now handing the store off to his girlfriend and her daughter to run it how they chose to, and in their words, it is Kenosha’s Weirdest Vintage Shop. Look for my upcoming interview with them on com and in the next Go Downtown Kenosha Magazine.
  • Fin & Ale has changed ownership, Don Larsen is now the owner of the business
  • Flip this, Flip that Resale from Racine is looking for a reasonably priced store front in downtown Kenosha. They have looked at a few places so far.

  • Meeting cancelled so that everyone could attend a meeting with the mayor regarding Lightin’ Up.
  • Fall in to Fun Festival moved to October 25, city made the call due to pending weather for the 18th.
  • Window Decorating Contest Successful
  • Next will be Winter Window
  • Sip and Stroll Recap – 152 Tickets Sold, 25 Venues
  • Lightin’ Up – November 28
    • Drone Show – 14 Minutes
    • VK acquired items from Jerry Smith’s
    • Beer & Mulled Wine Tent, Vendors
    • Santa at The Rhode, Reindeer at Herzing,

    • BID Committed $10K in the past
    • Only support those inside the BID Boundary

Vote on the 10K for 50 businesses in the BID Boundary — $7500,

$2500 covering taxes and marketing?
