Just seven miles east from Interstate I-94/41 is a thriving lakefront business district: Downtown Kenosha! Performance spaces, entertainment venues, restaurants, pubs, craft breweries, museums, art galleries, locally owned shops, and other businesses host events throughout the year. Downtown Kenosha’s lakefront spaces also serve as a beautiful backdrop for countless special events.
The Lakeshore Business Improvement District, with the support of partnering organizations and businesses, organizes signature events in Downtown Kenosha. These include: Third Thursdays, Snow Daze, Bunny Hop, Sip & Stroll, and Lightin’ Up & City Tree Lighting.

Snow Daze
The Snow Daze Festival is held annually on a Saturday in February.
It’s a time when Downtown Kenosha restaurants, shops, attractions, and other businesses welcome you to come downtown to enjoy the crisp winter air, see the ice sculptures on display in front of their establishments – and Shop Small, Shop Local, Dine Local, and Play Local!
Bunny Hop
This is a way to visit and support Downtown Kenosha restaurants, shops, attractions, salons, and other businesses.

How It Works:
- Visit as many of the participating businesses as you would like.
- Kids can collect an Easter egg filled with a treat (like candy or a sticker).
- Adults can collect an Easter egg with a surprise special offer inside (such as a discount for that day or future purchases, a coupon, a BOGO offer, free items with or without a purchase, and so on)
- Please be courteous so as many people as possible can participate; only take one egg per person at each venue you visit. Eggs are available while supplies last.
- Shop, dine, and explore as you go!

Lightin' Up & City Tree Lighting
The City of Kenosha Christmas tree lighting ceremony kicks off the holiday season as part of the “Lightin’ Up” celebration downtown. Join us for a holiday program featuring musical performances and a visit from Santa, beginning at 3:45 p.m. with tree lighting at 4:30 p.m. This free family program is sure to put you in the holiday mood.
Each fall the City parks department harvests a Christmas tree donated by a local citizen.
The Lightin’ Up celebration continues downtown with family activities, live entertainment, and special promotions at Downtown businesses throughout the evening. For further details about specials, entertainment, and activities, check back here closer to the date.
