MONTHLY BID MEETING

(June 18th , 2024)

CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL – 8:33am

Executive Committee: Chairperson Brit Windel, Vice Chairperson Alex Kudrna,  Treasurer Rajiv Sigh, Secretary Jeanette Kelly
Board Members Present: Brett Bjorn, Kevin Ervin, Rob Gresoviak,  Maria Caravati, Gus Harris, Mark Wistar, Sharon Rossow
Non-Voting Members: Dennis DuChene, Laura Gregorski, Donny Stancato,  Alderman Bill Siel, Dave Strash

 

1. Minutes­­ Approval from May 21st , 2024 – motion to approve – maria, Kevin Second

 

2. Citizens’ Comments

 

• Chelsea Harris – Hush Beauty – accidents /6^th + 7^th split – corner – bring to public works
• Ben Trecoci – Speed Bumps in downtown Kenosha to help with speeding

 

3. Director Comments

Updates from the Chairman    

• BVIP – UPDATE – Survey Piece completed – ready to have everything built, board put together by July, August announcement, 45 day window for applications, 1^st round of $$ by October.
• Lightin up DownTown Update – Kris Kochman, Jeanette & Brit met to help with building up the Lightin up Downtown – 3 – 4 larger gathering, Herzing, Central 6^th, Friendship Park, Coffee Pot Area –
• Planter Update – planters have been removed – variety of new trees are being planted in case one species gets sick, getting planted as soon as 6.24.24
• Sidewalk Sales Update – Public Works committee passed and then went to common council and passed – allow business to have sidewalk sales -June- October (third Thursday, Friday & Saturday) – all business owners need to show proof of Insurance in order to participate
• Reach out to Lake Geneva to see how they do sidewalk sales

 

4. Treasurer Report

• Johnson Bank – move bank accounts to Johnson Bank – purchase of CD? Money Market account?
• Have multiple accounts – Checking account – general account – grant fund accounts, sponsorship accounts – protection –
• Motion to Move from chase bank to Johnson Bank –
• Side Sponsorships

 

5. Marketing Updates
   • Spectrum OTT video campaign live, 43K+ impressions in first three weeks with a 98% completion view.
   • Ravinia ad #2 submitted.
   • ValPak – payment submitted for fall campaign.
   • BVIP Application – The Gratzi working on draft of web form
   • Adding Merch store to website – are there any unique items anyone would like to see added? Sales will support BVid Funds.
   • Sidewalk Sale – update from Public Works meeting
   • Downtown Magazine – ???
