CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL

Executive Committee: Chairperson Brit Windel, Vice Chairperson Alex Kudrna,  Treasurer Rajiv Sigh, Secretary Jeanette Kelly

Non-Voting Members: Dennis DuChene, Laura Gregorski, Donny Stancato,  Alderman Bill Siel, Dave Strash

– Bill Siel – Mayoral candidate – Kenosha Harbor District – 158 apartment, where chase, 10 story building where Lamacchia travel is currently

 

3. Director Comments

• Updates from the Chairman
  • Camera Update – city is concerned about the maintained of the FLOCK- BID would cover?  Stolen, damaged
  • RECAP: Candidate Panel Roundtable February 4^th
  • State of Downtown – UPDATE – Alex and Brit interviewing and creating a video for the event, food and drinks have been ordered.
  • Facade Program – UPDATE – Matt Monroe, creating a rubric for approval and then start accepting applications,
  • Treasurer Report
  • Plant Watering – Classic Gardens -Franksville, WI – savings of $5200 – applying for meter for the water –

 

4. Marketing Updates

• Items for March newsletter
• Blog suggestions? –
• Third Thursdays – sandwich boards with QR codes for spring
• Downtown Magazine – updates, Content and Ads submitted to Carmichael Communications for next issue – March 1^st
• Universal Gift Cards – 46 venues now signed up
• Spotlights – rapid fire two businesses not highlighted

 

 

5. Committees Comments

• Outreach & Retention
• Preparing packets to hand out to each business and property owner with BID info, opportunities, contacts, etc.
• Pulse survey sent in January – will send quarterly. Only 6 responses. Biggest struggles are currently sales and income.
• Site visits and inventory to start in March
• Streets & Beautification
• Holiday Lighting was taken down
• Light pole stars will remain up until the end of February
• Met with Parks Department on Cleaning up hedges on 6^thAvenue between 54^th and 55^th Streets
• Cleanup Scheduled for April 20^th, the Saturday before earth day.
• Please contact Dennis or Donny with ideas and suggestions
• Graffiti – dumpster by HON, fencing by Moda Bella, other locations?
• Events & Promotions
• Restaurant Week – 31 of 63 participating restaurants are downtown!
• State of the Downtown – invitations sent
• Lattes with the Law – March 21 ($1,000)
• Bunny Hop – March 23, registration open – Bunny – Bunny at Rhode from 10 – 1
• Sip & Stroll – June 8, event application

 

6. New Items of Business

• Patrick’s Day Parade – Downtown – Boathouse to Library park -bands – friendly neighborhood – permit needed!
