CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL –

5 Murals finished, 1 more if weather permits

Requesting 10K to finish the budget

  • Chelsea – Sallese & Co – Trick or Treat Events Clarification
  1. Director Comments
  • We are all Volunteers and need to be more involved.
  • 4 Openings to the Board, need to start nominations, send to Exec Board, deadline October 12th.
  • Lightin’ Up – Growing, raised $22K, if each Board Member could reach out to 3 contacts. Mini Market – 2-7. Fire Pits, Beer & Wine Tent with LSP.

  • Updates from the Treasurer
    • BVIP Update from Brit – funded with $75K, 24 Applicants, 22 were assessed, 18 awarded, $68K Awarded, $7K left over, $16K waiting on completion.
    • Would like to continue
    • Need to plan for upcoming budget
    • New Treasurer needed

 

  1. Marketing Updates
  • PPC plan – Pushed to Fall
  • No Q4 payment to Visit Kenosha if we choose to reallocate money
  • New magazine issue out
  1. Committees Comments
  • Outreach & Retention
    • Creating a flyer to hand out about Lightin’ Up with a QR code link to sponsorship opportunities.
    • Flyers being put together for St. Patrick’s Day parade and other upcoming events.
    • Wooden Chair Antiques closed and is looking for a new location.
    • Looking to hear from businesses that need any extra promotions to help generate income.

 

  • Streets & Beautification
    • Downtown Clean up – October 11thmeeting at Blue House Books.
    • Committee expressed interest reforming the Façade Committee with the intention of approaching local banks for community development funds.
    • Graffiti Cleanup, possibly an existing agreement with the city in place?

Bindelli doesn’t want to bill BID, so maybe some sort of Thank You

 

  • Events & Promotions
  • Retail Bingo to begin with Shop the Block design being finalized – added Fall fest plans, October 18
  • Recap trick or treat – bag of candy for each business

Motion to switch Trick or Treat to October 25,

  • Lightin’ up updates – Jeanette – November 28
  • Bingo – Winners for first two months selected, Gaining momentum
