Actor’s Craft 7th Avenue Theater & Acting Studio, 4900 7th Ave. Rattlin’ of the Joists, directed by Josephine Craven of Listen to Lit productions, has been celebrating Bloomsday, named for Leopold Bloom, James Joyce’s central character in Ulysses for over 2 decades in Chicago with readings, music and song. Bloomsday is observed throughout the world on June 16th. It is a commemoration and celebration of the life of Irish writer James Joyce during which the events in his novel (set on June 16th 1904) are relived. That date was chosen by Joyce as it was the date of his first outing with the great love of his life, Nora Barnacle Joyce. On June 15, for the Third Thursday, Listen to Lit is delighted to announce they are bringing Rattlin of the Joists Bloomsday celebration to Actor’s Craft 7th Avenue Theater in beautiful Downtown Kenosha! Performers & Musicians: Maureen Cashin Bolog, Keith Bolog, Raven Bongiani, Kevin Cassidy, Josephine Craven, Eileen A. Ellis, Frank Gleeson and Mark Piekarz. Performance starts at 7 p.m., doors open 6:30. Show may run till 8:30 p.m. FREE Evening of Readings, Music and Song celebrating famed Irish Writer, James Joyce. Produced by Listen to Lit, owned and operated by Irish Native Josephine Craven. Donations welcome.
