Young adult author Jason Tanamor will be at Blue House Books on Saturday, June 21st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for his release of his newest book, “The Legend of Sensei Tsinelas”.
In his latest novel, Jason Tanamor tackles the difficult nuances of growing up while dealing with loss, the stigma around mental health in teenage boys, and gives prominence to perspectives from the Filipino diaspora. Reminiscent of “I’d Rather Burn Than Bloom” by Shannon C.F. Rogers and “The Silence that Binds Us” by Joanna Ho, this story poses meaningful questions about grief, self-love and what it means to accept our own identities.
