Are you ready to Go Downtown October style? Let’s break down some of the things going on downtown!

Dinos in the Dark

October  20th Dinos in the Dark! Get your tickets in advance for the Dinosaur Discovery Museum’s “Dinos in the Dark!” This event takes place with  3 separate 45-minute sessions beginning at 6 PM, 7 PM, and 8 PM each night. Bring your flashlight and get ready to walk among the dinosaur bones! Intended for ages 3+. Register by clicking here! 

Fall into Fun Festival

Fall into Fun Fest! Join us on our new date, October 21st from 11 AM to 2 PM at Veterans’ Memorial Park located at 5220 Sixth Avenue Kenosha!in Veteran’s Memorial Park across from the beautiful Lake Michigan Harbor for this FREE family-friendly event with fun for ALL ages! There will be a Pumpkin Decorating Contest, a (kid-friendly) Costume Contest, Live Music, and MORE! The age brackets for both contests are Kids 12 and under | Teens 13-17 and adults 18+. If you’d like to partake in the pumpkin decorating contest, click here to fill out this survey and make sure your pumpkin arrives by judging at 12 PM!

Kemper Center’s Haunted House

Kemper Center’s Haunted House is here! Every Saturday in October come down to the Kemper Center (6501 3rd Ave, Kenosha WI) for the Haunted House which is themed “Circus of Horror” this year! From 6 PM-7 PM, the lights are on and little ones can trick or treat in the haunted house, and from 7 PM-10 PM the lights are off for all! Tickets are sold at the door and the entrance is located around the back of the Kemper Center building. You can also purchase concessions while you wait for your haunting experience! $5 for ages 10 and under, $10 for ages 11+

 

 

October Fest Crawl

October Fest Crawl is  presented by The Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce!  From October 18th-21st grab your passport and go downtown for deals and fun! You can purchase your passport for $15 or two for $20. The fun goes on from 4 PM-8 PM on weekdays, and 3 PM-6 PM Saturday! Each passport grants you exclusive access to deals and fun!

 

Ghost Hunting after hours at The Dinosaur Discovery Museum

From 9 PM- 11 Pm ON October 20th, participate in a paranormal search complete with stories of haunted events, see real life captured EVPs and images, and explore the museum yourself! You. must be 18+ to attend. Click here to register.

Historic Ghost Tours by Lakeshore Pedal Tours

Kenosha Ghost Tours are the fun pedal tours you know and love- with a spooky twist!
Throughout the tour, you’ll be told chilling stories of hauntings and paranormal activity that has taken place right here in Kenosha. You can book your own private ride for you and your crew, or book a seat on a public tour!

Blithe Spirit

A spooky classic is making it’s way to The Rhode- just in time for Halloween! Come see the haunting comedy at the historical Rhode Center for the Arts presented by The Lakeside Players!

Ready to trick or treat? Get your costumes ready! On October 28th from 3 PM-5 PM enjoy Tick-or-Treating down 6th Avenue here in Downtown Kenosha! This is organized by Playspace Kenosha Party & Play Center.

Hey, book lovers! Are you in need of a thrill?

Monday, October 16th from 7 PM-9 PM head over to Public Craft Brewing Co. for the Stories & Spirits Series by Blue House Books!

The series is bringing you a FREE opportunity to meet Caitlin Sarling & Daniel Kraus! The two thrilling authors will discuss crafting a suspenseful narrative, share insights into their sources of inspiration, and engage in an interactive Q&A session with the audience, followed by book signings!

Bookoween at Studio Moonfall

Bookoween is coming to Studio Moonfall! Sunday, October 29th from 10 AM- 3 PM come dressed up as your favorite book character, enjoy meeting local authors, enjoy tricks and treats from food trucks and vendors, and go through thousands of used books! Lighthouse Climbs

October means we’re coming down to your final chances to climb the Southport Light House this year!  Now through October 29th stop by The Kenosha History Center and let them know you’d like to climb the lighthouse. Thurs.-Sat. 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sun. 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM . You must be 8 and older to climb.
