Dining Al Fresco Downtown

If you’re looking to dine outdoors, you’ll find many options in Downtown Kenosha!

Let’s start with the rooftop ones. The Apis Hotel & Restaurant has a full bar on its roof, including an extensive list of wines by the glass and bottle, draft and bottled/canned beers including many local selections, a full range of spirits, and a full cocktail menu with their take on several classics. There’s also a food menu available – one that’s smaller than their full restaurant menu offered inside.

You’ll find the Crow’s Nest Rooftop Bar on top of The Stella Hotel & Ballroom. Enjoy fantastic views of Downtown and Lake Michigan, signature craft cocktails, daily specials like Happy Hour, and live entertainment at select times. A light food and snacks menu is available daily. The Crow’s Nest Rooftop Bar is generally open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend – the season can be extended depending on the weather. It opens in the evening hours Wednesday through Saturday and in the early afternoon on Sundays. Inside the hotel is a full-service restaurant called 1844 Table & Mash and café.

Many places give you amazing water views. Boat House Pub & Eatery has both outdoor and indoor seating that overlook the Simmons Island Marina. New to Downtown, the Kenosha Tap House, is next to Southport Marina with a harborside patio. Also watch the boats come and go from the huge deck at Anna’s on the Lake.

You get a great view of the Southport Lighthouse from the Lakeside Deck at Wyndham Garden – Kenosha HarborsideLive music, food, and drinks are offered here in the summer.

This only scratches the surface of outdoor dining. There are many more places with sidewalk, patio, or backyard seating. The Coffee Pot has ‘The Garden of Eatin’ and Villa D’ Carlo has a patio area where you can enjoy a glimpse of the harbor from your table.

And the list goes on! So gather your family, catch up with friends, or make it a date night on a restaurant’s patio/deck/rooftop/sidewalk!
