Sallese & Co.: A Love-Filled Salon Where Community Shines

“Sallese & Co. is more than a salon—it’s a place where beauty meets wellness, community, and connection.”
Owner – Chelsea Sallese

By Donny Stancato, Kenosha, WISallese & Co. is redefining what it means to feel beautiful. More than a salon, it’s a sanctuary where wellness, sustainability, and artistry come together, shaped by Chelsea Sallese’s personal journey and her commitment to ethical beauty.

“My daughter’s cancer journey was my biggest inspiration,” Chelsea says. “It opened my eyes to the importance of safe, clean, and mindful beauty practices. I wanted to create a space where people could feel beautiful and know the products and services weren’t part of the toxic, wasteful beauty culture we’ve grown used to.”

Chelsea’s vision began humbly—hand-poured candles on an Etsy page—and has grown into a warm, modern salon that feels like home.

A Boutique-Salon with Purpose

Sallese & Co. isn’t just another salon. It’s a destination.
“I want everyone who walks in to feel like they’re part of our community—because they are.”

  • Full-Service Salon: Precision cuts, dimensional coloring, lived-in blondes, bridal and special-event hair and makeup.
  • Ethical Boutique: Curated clean beauty products, artisan jewelry, and locally made goods, all chosen with Chelsea’s personal approval.
  • Community Hub: Pop-up art shows, collaborations with local makers, and volunteer hair and makeup for Kenosha Performing Arts (KAPA) theatre productions.

“Beauty should never come at the cost of health,” Chelsea explains. “That’s why clean beauty and sustainability are at the heart of our salon.”

Inside Sallese & Co.: A Q&A with Chelsea Sallese

Q: How do your services and products differ from other salons?
Chelsea: “We combine salon services with a boutique experience, so guests can take home products and gifts that align with our values. I research every brand—ingredients, sourcing, sustainability—and only carry what I’d use on myself or my family.”

Q: Tell us about your team.
Chelsea: “All of our stylists are independent. They run their own businesses but share our supportive culture. Each brings unique talents—precision cuts, bold color, bridal artistry—so clients get the benefit of real variety. Most of us are mothers, so we understand balancing family and career. It’s inspiring to work alongside women whose values align.”

Q: Bridal styling is a specialty. What can a bride expect?
Chelsea: “A completely personalized experience. We start with a consultation to understand her personality and wedding vision. We offer in-salon or on-location services and guide brides to maintain a healthy routine—hydration, regular trims, no last-minute changes—so they look and feel their best.”

Q: What’s the atmosphere when someone first walks in?
Chelsea: “Inviting, creative, and comfortable. I want everyone to feel like they’re part of our community—because they are.”

A Growing Destination

Chelsea and her husband Anthony, who manages technology and operations, are expanding the salon to include a bridal suite and spa rooms. Signature services like lived-in color remain client favorites, and new clean-beauty treatments and event offerings are in the works.

“We’ve grown in both services and community impact,” Chelsea says. “And we’re just getting started.”
