Old Northside Historic Walking Tour

May 28, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)
$10

NEW in 2023! On the fourth Sunday of the month, May through October, the Kenosha County Historical Society (who operates the Kenosha History Center and the seasonal Southport Light Station Museum) presents the Old Northside Historic Walking Tour.

The tour starts at 1 PM at Veterans Memorial Park (shown). The tour is expected to last 90 minutes and will make its way through the old north side of Kenosha: “over the Rhine.” Historically, the neighborhood was a mix of workers and business owners, primarily immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe, and shows a slice of life in the self-contained urban neighborhood of the past. The tours are led by volunteer historians, who grew up in the neighborhood.

Reservations are required and are $10 per person. Reservations can be made in person at the Kenosha History Center, via email at kchs@kenoshahistorycenter.org, or via phone at 262-654-5770. No physical tickets are given out; the tour guides will be given a list of registered names the morning of the tour.
