Habitat for Humanity’s Community Build Week Returns to Racine and Kenosha with Expanded Volunteer Opportunities

April 27 @ 9:00 am - May 8 @ 3:00 pm

RACINE & KENOSHA, WI — Habitat for Humanity of Racine and Kenosha Counties is proud to announce the return of Community Build Week, taking place across both Racine and Kenosha this spring. The annual event will span both communities, with alternating volunteer build days across the two weeks designed to increase participation and regional impact. In Racine, volunteer build days will take place on April 27, April 29, May 1, May 5, and May 7. In Kenosha, volunteers will build on April 28, April 30, May 4, May 6, and May 8.
Community Build Week brings together volunteers, local businesses, and community partners to work side-by-side constructing safe, affordable homes for local families. No construction experience is required, and Habitat staff will be on site to guide volunteers throughout each build day.
Habitat for Humanity is currently seeking additional sponsors to support Community Build Week. Sponsorships help offset construction costs, provide meals and materials for volunteers, and expand Habitat’s ability to serve families in need of affordable housing. Businesses and organizations interested in sponsoring Community Build Week are encouraged to get involved. Several community partners have already committed their support, including Marine Credit Union, Riley Construction, Herzing University, Carpetland, and others.
“Community Build Week is about more than building homes—it’s about strengthening neighborhoods and creating lasting impact across our communities,” said Angela Elliott, Chief Operating Officer for Habitat for Humanity of Racine and Kenosha Counties. “By alternating build days in Racine and Kenosha, we’re creating more opportunities for volunteers and partners to be directly involved in helping local families achieve safe, affordable housing.”
