Explore a new cuisine or pick up a favorite delicious food from over a dozen prepared food vendors this season. Treat yourself to fresh baked goods including breads\, pastries\, pies\, cookies and other desserts. DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to have Milwaukee-based author Harry Pinkus at Blue House Books for a Meet & Greet event on Saturday\, May 27th! From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.\, stop by Blue House Books to chat with Harry about his latest release “Human Collateral” and have it signed! \nAbout the book: “Human Collateral” is an intriguing good versus evil story where a private investigator and the FBI team up to bring down an unscrupulous mob that preys on people’s financial misfortunes. \nPrivate Detective Miles Darien is hired by Cora Sims to find her missing daughter Olivia\, who has been living alone in Chicago. \nMiles enlists his best friend\, investigative journalist Ryan Duffy\, to assist in the search. Mrs. Sims has no idea where her daughter works or how she makes a living. First\, they must uncover the clues which will lead them to her workplace\, hoping to connect with someone who can take them to Olivia. \nWhen they find Olivia\, she’s barely alive as a result of an infection after having a kidney surgically removed. Turns out the kidney was payment for an illegal loan given by criminals who prey on people in dire financial trouble by forcing them to use their bodies as collateral. \nAbout the author: Harry’s passion for writing was ignited at the University of Wisconsin where he studied journalism and wrote for the campus newspaper\, “The Daily Cardinal.” After many years as a partner in a marketing firm\, Harry formed a consultancy to focus on writing for business publications\, creating marketing content and materials for both digital and print media. \nAfter so many years writing content for his clients\, Harry finally decided to write something for himself. His first novel\, “The Kingmaker’s Redemption”\, allowed Harry to creatively express my point of view through storytelling. His next book\, “Human Collateral”\, is the first in the Miles Darien Detective series. The next installment of the thriller series\, “Justified Malice”\, will be out in the fall of 2023. \nHarry and his wife Jackie live in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin.
