Both authors will be available for questions from the audience and for book signings and photos! \nABOUT THE BOOK \nA potential Bigfoot sighting is linked to a vicious murder\, but skeptical cryptozoologist Morgan Carter is on the case in this new Monster Hunter Mystery by USA Today bestselling author Annelise Ryan. \nBusiness has been booming since Morgan Carter solved the case of the monster living in Lake Michigan. The Odds and Ends bookstore is thriving\, of course\, but Morgan is most excited by the doors that were opened for her as a cryptid hunter. Recently\, there have been numerous sightings of a Bigfoot-type creature in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest area of Bayfield County\, Wisconsin. After a man is found dead from a vicious throat injury in the forest\, the conservation warden asks Morgan to investigate. \nWhen Morgan and her dog\, Newt\, go there to investigate\, they uncover a trail of lies\, deception\, and murder. It seems a mysterious creature is indeed living in the forest\, and Morgan might be its next target. \nABOUT ANNELISE RYAN \nAnnelise Ryan is a pseudonym for the author of the new Monster Hunter Mystery series\, the first of which\, A DEATH IN DOOR COUNTY\, was released in September 2022. The second book in the series\, DEATH IN THE DARK WOODS\, is scheduled for release in December of 2023. \nAnnelise also penned the rib-tickling12- book Mattie Winston Mystery series featuring the adventures of a wryly cynical nurse-turned-coroner in a small Wisconsin town and the spin-off Helping Hands Mysteries. \nAs Allyson K. Abbott\, she authored a 6-book series known as the Mack’s Bar Mysteries (a bit of cheeky fun there with the initials on that nom de plume!) \nAnd as Beth Amos\, she has written more than 200 published articles\, worked as a book reviewer for Barnes & Noble\, and written five thrillers\, three of which were published by HarperCollins in the late ’90s. She is an active member of Mystery Writers of America\, Sisters in Crime\, and International Thriller Writers. She is a registered nurse whose past work experience has included everything from birth (obstetrics) to death (hospice). She recently retired after spending her last 20 years working in the ER and she is now enjoying several side hobbies\, including competitive Scrabble\, working with stained glass\, and gardening. \nABOUT ERICA RUTH NEUBAUER \nErica Ruth Neubauer spent eleven years in the military\, two years as a cop and one year as a high school English teacher before finding her way as a writer. She has reviewed mysteries and crime fiction for several years at publications such as Publishers Weekly\, the Los Angeles Review of Books and Mystery Scene Magazine and is a member of both Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime.
