SUMMARY:David Ferraro\, author of The Alchemy of Moonlight\, at Blue House Books
DESCRIPTION:David Ferraro\, author of “The Alchemy of Moonlight\,” is coming to Blue House Books! \nWe are THRILLED to have David here to chat with excited readers about his debut novel and sign books! Our customers have been LOVING “The Alchemy of Moonlight”\, a queer gothic romance\, in which a young marquis caught between freedom and passion\, honor and love will have to unravel a centuries-old curse to find his own happy ending. \nBe sure to order your copy in advance! Learn more about David and his new novel below. \nAbout the author \nDavid Ferraro grew up in Brooklyn Park\, Minnesota\, where he was raised on a steady diet of comic books\, horror movies and YA novels. He graduated with a B.A. in English and creative writing from St. Cloud State University\, and currently resides in the outskirts of Milwaukee\, Wisconsin with his partner and a very spoiled tortoise. “The Alchemy of Moonlight” is his debut novel. \nAbout the Book \nTrapped in a world of straight expectations\, queer marquis Emile longs for independence. So\, when his aunt declares he must marry to produce an heir or be disowned\, he runs away disguised as a servant until he can come of age and reclaim his inheritance. \nAll Emile needs to do is keep his head down and bide his time\, but he quickly stumbles into a mystery beyond his imagination. While working in the service of the intimidating Count Montoni and his family\, Emile learns that they suffer from a strange affliction every full moon\, which requires full sedation. And when he discovers a mangled corpse on the estate the same night as suspicious family arguments break out\, he reports it. But Emile cannot guess what lengths Count Montoni is willing to go to to keep his family’s secrets safe. As Emile becomes more entangled in the household and its paranormal origins\, his inquiries draw the attention of the handsome doctor\, Bram\, and the count’s charismatic nephew\, Henri. \nBut how can Emile earn the esteem of the earnest doctor\, while keeping his own identity and desires a secret? And how can he trust—let alone love—Henri\, a man as mercurial as the ever-changing moon? To find the love he deserves and survive the Montoni family\, Emile will have to risk his title as well as his life.

SUMMARY:Geneveive Gornichec in conversation with Olesya Gilmore
DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate the release of Genevieve Gornichec’s sophomore novel “The Weaver and the Witch Queen” with the author herself! \nGenevieve will be in conversation with fellow fantasy writer Olesya Salnikova Gilmore\, author of “The Witch and the Tsar”. Join us as we listen to their discussion about the inspiration behind their novels and how they create their magical worlds. \nAbout the Book \nThe lives of two women—one desperate only to save her missing sister\, the other a witch destined to become queen of Norway—intertwine in this spellbinding\, powerful novel of Viking Age history and myth from the acclaimed author of “The Witch’s Heart”. \nAbout the Authors \nGenevieve Gornichec earned her degree in history from the Ohio State University\, but she got as close to majoring in Vikings as she possibly could\, and her study of Norse myths and Icelandic sagas became her writing inspiration. She lives in Cleveland. \nOlesya Salnikova Gilmore was born in Moscow\, Russia\, raised in the US\, and graduated from Pepperdine University with a BA in English / political science\, and from Northwestern School of Law with a JD. She practiced litigation at a large law firm for several years before pursuing her dream of becoming an author. She is most happy writing historical fiction and fantasy inspired by Eastern European folklore. She lives in a wooded lakeside suburb of Chicago with her husband and daughter. “The Witch and the Tsar” is her debut novel.
